Back to Back Pull Handles come in a large range of designs and, when chosen with style, can compliment the design and features of a room perfectly.
For Timber Doors:
- Prepare the door by drilling M8 (8.0-8.5mm) at the required fixing centres. Ensure the holes are drilled straight.
2. Insert the ‘back to back’ bolt through the hole and screw into the ‘bolt through’ handle at both points, fixing points securely.
3. To fully ensure there is no play in the handle, use locking pliers to fully tighten. For optimum results, fix the ‘bolt-through’ pull handle on the ‘pull’ side of the door. Slide the ‘back-to-back’ pull handle onto the protruding head of the bolts, up to the face of the door.
4. The grub screws which will be loosely engaged at 2 points on each fixing end of the pull handle should then be tightened using the hex key provided. It is best practice to tighten both grub screws evenly up to the point they engage the bolt, before fully tightening each one completely. Tighten the grub screws with the long arm hex key to the extent that you can see the arm bending, this will torque tighten and stay in place.
5. Check that the handle is secured tightly and that there is no play in either handle when operating the door from both sides.
