Tackling the Sandstone Trail for a Cause: Our Next Big Challenge!
After an incredible year of fundraising success, we’re excited to announce our next big challenge, and we need your support more than ever! This March, our team will be taking on the breathtaking Sandstone Trail – a 33-mile walk that could take up to 12 hours to complete. It’s no small feat, but we’re determined to push our limits, all while raising funds for an incredibly important cause: Ronald McDonald House Charities UK.
For those who aren’t familiar, the Sandstone Trail is a stunning route that spans from Frodsham to Whitchurch, winding through diverse landscapes and challenging terrain. It’s a walk that offers a bit of everything—gorgeous views, tricky hills, and a fair amount of physical strain. To put things in perspective, the current record for completing the trail was set in 2012, with a jaw-dropping time of 4 hours and 10 minutes. While we may not be aiming for that record, we’ll definitely be pushing ourselves to the limit!
Our team will start at the picturesque Frodsham and journey through some of the most stunning parts of Cheshire and Shropshire before reaching our finish line in Whitchurch. Along the way, we’ll be relying on teamwork, determination, and a strong sense of camaraderie. It’s not just about the walk, but the shared experience that binds us together for such an important cause.
