THE CHALLENGE
Merlin Architectural were appointed to supply the ironmongery for a large contract for Tune Hotels, incorporating a 180 bedroom bespoke hotel in the city of London. This project required Merlin’s outstanding, free door set packaging service, involving bagging and labelling the ironmongery for each individual door in the building, which was accomplished with unbeatable accuracy and care. This service greatly assisted on-site efficiency and minimized wastage.
THE PROJECT
Despite logistical restrictions due to the central location of the building, complimented by Merlin’s rapid delivery service and excellent communication, the project was completed ahead of schedule.What was once an ordinary office building has now been transformed into a working hotel. Due to our excellent service and our top quality products supplied to this project, we were commissioned to supply a second hotel project located at Kings Cross.
The Kings Cross project was a similar basis as the Liverpool Street site and once again converted an old office block into a working 200 bed hotel, with the addition of a 17 bed extension. Another challenging programme due to logistics and time schedule, but one that Merlin rose to and fulfilled superbly.
