Accuracy on time, every time

Trinity Court

THE CHALLENGE

The ultimate goal was to transform the building into TRINITY – an exceptionally crafted, Grade A workspace, finished to the highest standard. Products were needed that would complement original features of the building that were being uncovered, whilst creating an elegantly modern feel to the space. Merlin proposed matt black ironmongery to achieve this, to work with the crittall style windows being installed, and with the highly sophisticated reception area design.

THE APPROACH

Merlin Architectural worked closely with the client and the door manufacturer throughout the project. Multiple site visits were carried out to fully identify the client’s requirements, and samples were subsequently provided for approval. All goods were then supplied packaged in individual sets for each door ensuring ease of installation on site.

“The design, project and construction teams will have successfully fully redeveloped 59,000 sq ft of commercial space, fully infilled an atrium and constructed a new 7th floor, all within 11 months or to be exact 323 days. I think this is a remarkable achievement and there are few, if any other projects of this scale I can think of which have successfully completed in such a short timescale.”

THE BUILDING

The building is situated in a stunning Manchester city centre location between the traditional city core and Spinningfields. Built by Edward Salomans in 1865, Trinity was previously named the Prince’s Chambers and was used as a showroom for Lambs Furniture. In the 1990’s it was redeveloped to include a large 30m atrium and additional levels. The creation of TRINITY has helped to boost the quality Grade A office space in the city centre, currently known to be in short supply.
