Accuracy on time, every time

Wilson Street, London

THE CHALLENGE

Wilson Street posed a unique task for the team due to its complete renovation including a replacement of the existing stainless steel in the building with a bronze powder coating. This had already been done on the front facade where the bronze powder-coated aluminium fins form new balustrading, replacing the existing stainless steel for a more contemporary finish. The use of bronze continues the Art Deco feel from the outside where the reception includes new panelling and a bronze lift. Merlin’s Prostyle ironmongery in Bronze then continues this thread throughout the building with our perfectly matched finish on both the door handles and the signage provided.

OUR APPROACH

The Merlin team was tasked with creating a timeless look across the building, therefore the full six storeys boast the Prostyle range of ironmongery in a bronze finish. The pull handles and lever handles are from our contemporary style mitred range, a sleek design that enables the finish to take centre stage. See below some of the Prostyle ironmongery that the designers selected for Wilson’s corner, London:

THE BUILDING

The 13,000 sq ft building comprises of six storeys, plus ground floor and basement levels, this has all been upgraded with a new entrance, roof terrace and interior work.

The design brief was to ensure that sustainability is at the heart of this £3 million office refresh improving on the building’s current EPC rating of G to EPC B. Sustainable materials have been chosen throughout, where appropriate, within the building. A brand new, fully electric M&E system significantly improves the existing office space, and boosts the building’s environmental credentials.

The end result completely overhauls a previously unloved, vacant office space to create a dynamic worksetting for tenants seeking a prestigious City of London base.
