THE CHALLENGE
Set within the historic Woburn Estate near Milton Keynes, Woburn Golf Club is one of the UK’s most prestigious golfing venues, featuring three championship courses – the Duke’s, Duchess and Marquess – all set among extensive woodland landscapes. The club has hosted numerous professional tournaments and is widely recognised for the quality of its facilities and grounds.
As part of ongoing investment in the estate, the maintenance and welfare building underwent refurbishment to enhance the facilities available to the greenkeeping and grounds teams responsible for maintaining the club’s championship-standard courses. The project required durable, high-performance fittings that would withstand the demands of a busy operational building, while still aligning with the club’s high standards of design and presentation.
THE APPROACH
To support the refurbishment, we supplied a range of satin stainless steel ironmongery designed to deliver both durability and a refined finish suitable for a premium sporting environment. Satin stainless steel was selected for its strength, corrosion resistance and low-maintenance properties, making it ideal for buildings subject to frequent use.
As part of the specification, we supplied our Prostyle 1200mm T‑Bar Pull Handles (below), providing a clean, contemporary aesthetic while ensuring reliable performance in high-traffic areas. The hardware’s simple geometry and brushed finish complement the modernised interior while maintaining a professional, robust feel appropriate for a working facility.
THE BUILDING
The refurbished maintenance and welfare building provides a practical, well-designed space for the club’s operational teams, incorporating welfare facilities alongside functional working areas for equipment storage and day-to-day course management. The design balances practicality with quality finishes, reflecting the overall standard of the wider Woburn Golf Club estate.
By combining thoughtful architectural refurbishment with carefully specified hardware, the project ensures the building remains both functional and visually consistent with the prestige of one of the UK’s leading golf destinations.
